SCHEDULE 1B: PUBLICITY AND CONSULTATION BEFORE APPLYING FOR PLANNING PERMISSION NOTICE UNDER ARTICLES 2C AND 2D - Town and Country Planning

(Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012

Notice is given that the owners of Garth Isaf Farm, CF38 1SN, are intending to apply for planning permission for re-profiling some 5.5 Hectares of the farm in order to compliment a horse training manége and amenity lake and also to improve poor quality land to increase pasture and silage production on the farm.

This notice provides the opportunity to comment directly to the developers on the proposals prior to the submission of a planning application to Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council. Any subsequent planning application will be publicised by Rhondda Cynon Taff Council.

Comments provided in response to this notice will not prejudice your ability to make representations to Rhondda Cynon Taff Council on any related planning application. You should note that any comments submitted may be placed on the public file.

Monmouth - Grass cutting - year 2

As of September 2014, Ryan Jones Group was successful in our tender to carry out Grass Cutting and Horticultural works for Monmouth County Council. Primarily working on the SWTRA Network.

This contract has been awarded to Ryan Jones Group for the next 3 years. Ryan Jones Group is now carrying out it's second year.

The scope of works include; cutting grass verges, central reservations along main trunk roads in the Monmouthshire area including parts of the M4 motorway, A465, heads of Valley road, A449, A40 and A4042.

We also supply labour to Monmouth County Council for duties including traffic management, litter picking and chainsaw operatives to mention a few.

Ryan Jones Group has invested in new equipment to allow us to complete the works safer and more efficiently.

Tarmac at Hendy Quarry

Ryan Jones Group are pleased to announce the successful procurement of a contract to produce aggregates for TARMAC at their Hendy Quarry at Miskin near Pontyclun in South Wales. While the initial order is for 10,000 t of crusher run and 5,000t of Type 1, Ryan Jones Group will seek to progress towards creating a long standing contract with one of our prime customers and a major player in the aggregate production industry.

Cwmbran Road

Ryan Jones Group's dedicated employees provided over 24-hours continuous plant support to gas distribution network Wales &West Utilities while they repaired a damaged gas pipe. Well done to Richard Simpson, Anthony Sadd, Kenneth Acock and Karol Wojciechowski.

Cardiff Tram Sheds

The project commenced in June 2015. Ryan Jones Group is currently undertaking demolition & piling for this new development with our machines including Doosan DX255LC3 Excavator, Hitachi ZX8USB and a Thwaite 6 ton dumper which is all operated by our qualified and experienced operators.

The site for this proposed development is the former Tram depot at the junction of Clare Road and Pendyris Street.

Cardiff City Council intends to create a vibrant new small business and arts heart south of the City Centre offering cultural facilities and supporting local start-up businesses in the community and in so doing be an integral part of the renewal of the Embankment area and the wider Core Area South redevelopments.

Melfort Road and Cardiff Road Bridge

The project commenced 1st December 2014 and finished 24th December 2014. RJG was appointed by WWU to deliver accommodation works required to allow the removal of a bridge over rail structure by Network Rail. The bridge removal was to occur by occupation over the Christmas period with a shut-down of the main Swansea to London Railway lines. RJG were required to install some 350m of new LP Gas Mains through a residential estate, prior to decommissioning an existing 350mm main to be abandoned and removed as part of the bridge demolition by Principal Contractor Carillion. The timetable for the project was extremely tight with restricted access and duration times, however, RJG staff completed all works as required as a significant contribution to the successful bridge removal.

Brynamman 2

The project was the reinforcement elements for Brynamman 1, which commenced in July 2014, and was completed in March 2015.

The project required Ryan Jones Group, to excavate, lay, test, reinstate, and commission some 740 metres of 315mm low pressure main, and 1.1 l of 180mm PE / steel medium pressure main.

The route being, through agricultural land, highway, and a river crossing, all works being undertaken by experiences, trained and certificated employees of Ryan Jones Group.

Monmouth – Grass Cutting

Brynamman Affordable Gas Scheme

This project commenced in October 2013, and completed in June 2014, on time and within budget. It was one the largest projects of its type being undertaken in Wales at the time, it involved the laying of some 5k plus of new low pressure mains, comprising of diameters 315-90 mm, and 156 plus, new services.’ All the works being carried out by Ryan Jones Group personnel, all of whom are suitably qualified and experienced in all types of gas main and service installation works.

The project required the use of many of the recognised pipe laying and jointing techniques such as, Butt and Electro fusion, all being undertaken by labour directly employed by Ryan Jones Group, and all being fully experienced, trained, and certified in the appropriate disciplines.
